Boulogne sur Mer beckons with the promise of a beautiful cathedral, a fortified Haute Ville and, very excitingly, Europe’s largest aquarium.
A short hop down the coast, Le Touquet is buzzing under blue skies. A northern coast holiday hotspot, a mere 260 km north of Paris, Le Touquet is bursting with boutiques, jewellery shops, restaurants, gorgeous Belle Epoque houses and a surprising number of private casinos.
Conscious of my disappointment on missing out on a seal adventure, Himself has outdone himself – he’s found a whole colony.
Ah the lovely Dieppe. We only discovered it in 2024 and we’re back! Himself dubbed it ‘Honfleur on speed’ the first time around. He had a point – in between the series of harbours, yachts and endless restaurants it’s similar but oh so much larger.
No matter how many times you visit a place there’s always something new to discover. How we’ve managed to miss France’s Côte d’Albâtre for over a decade is a complete mystery.
